Protecting, monitoring and controlling a battery system is very important to create a safe, reliable and easy-to-use system. The MG Master LV unit of the battery system protects the connected battery modules against over-charging, over-discharging, over-temperature, under-temperature and controls the balancing of the battery cells. Besides a safety function, the Master LV monitors and tracks other important parameters to give insight in the battery status and energy consumption. The integrated DC distribution, fuse holders and safety contactor make it easy to install and require less cables and external equipment.

DC Distribution
One of the unique features, which makes installation much easier, is an integrated DC distribution system with fuse holders. Flexible system configurations are possible for small to large systems of up to 96 connected battery modules.

M12 and RJ45
The communication connections between the batteries and Master LV can be either with economical RJ45 cables or more robust M12 cables. Up to 96V both options are available. The M12 connectors integrate an interlock loop to monitor connections. This interlock can be used to switch of the internal safety contactor hardwired by an external emergency button.

Diagnostic tool software
Battery system diagnostics are important during commissioning, system testing, service, maintenance and trouble shooting. The diagnostic tools provide all the detailed information about the battery system. Main values, like voltage, current and State-Of-Charge, can be viewed and logged to a file. Moreover
