Quadflex Technology

Motobatt batteries leverage Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology. AGM construction provides a unique four-terminal design, featuring two positives and two negatives, along with height spacers. This results in a near-universal fit, maximising its utility. All Motobatt AGM Batteries arrive maintenance-free, non-hazardous, non-spill, and pre-charged, ready for immediate installation.

Each plate within the battery is encapsulated in a fibrous glass matting, ensuring complete absorption of the liquid electrolyte. This cushioning effect protects the plates from vibration, which can lead to short circuits or break plate welds. The robust, heavy-duty plates are a cornerstone of the Motobatt design.

AGM batteries also exhibit a lower inherent self-discharge rate compared to traditional wet-flooded types. Furthermore, as a higher amp hour AGM battery, the Motobatt battery can endure deeper discharges and recover effectively under vehicle alternator charge or through maintenance charging. Conventional flooded cell batteries are not equipped to handle this type of cycling without succumbing to premature failure.
